As a student in history, I think it would be much better to live in contemporary world. Otherwise, we may died of some untreatable diseases in history, died in warfare, widespread farmine, earthquakes and tsunami. To make thing worse, there are simply no hygiene faclities, no toliet papers, no clean water supplies at all. Living in the past is harsh. It is much much worser then you could imagine of. Another important thing is the place you born. You know, earthquakes and tsunami still kill lots of people nowadays, even in advanced civilizations like Japan. The place you born decided your fate. It make existentialism more cruel. To relive in our history is not a very goood experience as you might have expected. Your idea is too romantic.
